I qualified as a chiropodist with the SMAE Institute in 1999 and, following changes in professional regulations, was grandparented onto the HCPC register in 2002. I am proud to be HCPC registered, ensuring that I meet the highest standards of professional practice and patient care.

 

With over 25 years of experience, I have continued to expand my knowledge through ongoing professional development. Over the years, I have gained additional qualifications in a wide range of foot care–related courses, including achieving my POM (Prescription Only Medicine) annotation.

I have also undertaken further study in specialist areas such as dementia care, Parkinson’s disease, and the management of the arthritic and elderly foot. This enables me to provide thoughtful, tailored treatment with an understanding of the wider health considerations that can affect foot health.
 

My aim is always to provide safe, effective and compassionate care, ensuring every patient feels comfortable, listened to and confident in their treatment.

I qualified as a Foot Health Professional with the SMAE Institute after developing a strong interest in foot health while completing work experience as part of my BSc (Hons) in Human Biology. This background gives me a thorough understanding of the body and how overall health can impact foot wellbeing.

 

Alongside my studies, I worked in the care industry, which gave me valuable hands-on experience supporting individuals with a wide range of needs. This has shaped my patient-centred approach, helping me to provide thoughtful, respectful care while understanding the importance of dignity, communication and reassurance.

 

With experience in caring for patients living with dementia, I provide a compassionate and professional service in a relaxed, supportive environment. I take the time to understand each patient’s individual needs, offering tailored treatment and practical advice to help keep feet in the best possible condition.
